Get to know Nathan Dunlap, the owner of Fulcrum Built.
From a very young age, he has always been fascinated with figuring out how things work. He has a unique mind that picks up on something after seeing it once and then figures out a way to replicate it in his own way. He has always been handy and great at figuring out how things fit together, but it wasn’t until working for his first general contractor 6 years ago that he realized how much he loved working with his hands and having to come up with quick ideas in construction.
While working under this contractor in Santa Clarita, CA for 2 years, Nathan was given the opportunity to work on many different areas of houses. This made him well-rounded in the trade industry and he realized his true passion was in renovating homes. In his third year in the industry, he did his first real estate investment flip with his mother in Coarsegold, CA.
Since then, he has successfully completed multiple real estate investments, some with his mother and also with his wife, Holly. During this time, he has also been working with homeowners to help them fulfill all their home needs. After honing his skills for 5 years, Nathan and his wife decided to move their children to Eastern North Carolina, in the Swansboro area, in the hopes of building and establishing a relationship with the local community. They continue to be amazed at how beautiful the state is and how kind the community has been.
Nathan continues to learn and grow his business every day and also wants to help teach the new generation skilled trades so they can have the same opportunity he was given years ago. Nathan strives to ensure his work is of the highest standards and pays attention to the littlest of details. His passion is working in the construction industry; he wants to keep increasing his knowledge and is currently working on obtaining his NC limited residential contractor’s license.
